Davao City - Outside of the military and members of the Moro rebel group, local government officials are also exerting efforts for the immediate capture of Abu Sayyaf bandits now being hunted in Central Mindanao. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) said on Thursday that Maguindanao Governor Datu Andal Ampatuan has offered a separate reward "for anyone who can provide exact information on the whereabouts of the elusive but dreaded Abu Sayyaf chieftain, Khaddafy Janjalani and some 30 others." The amount of the reward was yet to be finalized. The Armed Forces of the Philippines, now in hot pursuit operation of the bandits, has earlier reported they were spotted in the tri-boundary of Talayan, South Upi and Guindolongan, in Maguindanao. The operation has been coordinated with the MILF under the ad hoc joint group accord.
