The top bomber from the Muslim Abu Sayyaf rebel group has been arrested and a plot to attack the US embassy, shopping malls and the Manila stock exchange foiled, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said. An intelligence report said Abdulmukim Edris planned to use electronically detonated lorry bombs.
