The death toll in the military's campaign against the secessionist Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has hit 940, Defense Secretary Orlando Mercado revealed yesterday. Mercado told the House appropriations committee chaired by Rep. Gilberto Duavit (LAMP, Rizal) that of the 940 dead, 189 were soldiers, 209 civilians and 542 MILF fighters.
