Pregnancy is one beautiful thing that can ever happen to a woman. Everything seems rosy till the baby is out but the real pain which starts haunting the females post pregnancy is their awful belly.

During pregnancy the abdominal muscles, also called as abs, stretch to accommodate the fetus and become weak. By doing specific exercises, these abdominal muscles re-strengthen along with the cutting down of the extra fat layer over the stomach. The exercises to be done post pregnancy to how to get a flat stomach are:

i)                    Abdominal crunch:

This exercise is generally done to get a flat stomach. Place hands behind the head with knees bent and toes on the floor. Make sure that we exhale while raising our body and inhale while lowering our back in such a way that the abs are crunched. Repetitions of 20-25 thrice a day are advisable for the first few months.

 

ii)                  Kegel exercise:

This is a very simple exercise which can be done anywhere and at any time. The muscles that help in stopping the urination are called kegel muscles. In this exercise, the kegal muscles are tightened and made to hold for 10secs. They are again slowly relaxed for another 10 seconds. A set of 10 contractions thrice a day is very effective.

 

iii)                Oblique crunch:

These are also referred to as love handles. In this, body lies on the back, with hands behind the head, the left feet touches the right knee and the back is lowered to the ground. Reiterate this exercise 20-25 times thrice a day.

How to get a flat stomach just by doing exercises is a futile attempt for nothing can be accomplished without a healthy, fibered, low or no fat, highly proteinaceous diet.
