Context Menu
Once the Diigo toolbar is installed, much of the functionalities can also be
conveniently accessed through the context menu (also known as the right-click
menu):

Tips:
- Normally the Diigo Context Menu will appear on the top of your right-click menu. We provide an option to either keep DIIGO buttons on top, or or in a lower position in your right-click menu to suit your personal usage preference.

- A particularly convenient feature of the context menu is that you do not have to go into the submenu if your intended action is already the default. For example, in the above, if your intended action is Bookmark and Highlight, which is the default choice, then you can simply click Diigo, without going into the submenu at all.
Diigo and Its Submenu
With some text selected, doing right-click and clicking "Diigo" and its submenus does the following:
| Result | |
| Bookmark and Highlight: | a block of text is automatically highlighted and data entered into a bookmark window |
| Highlight and Forward: | text is highlighted and clipped into a forward window ready to be sent. |
| Send to Blog: | your selected highlight automatically populates a new blog post of yours and ready to be edited. |
Search and Its Submenu
With some text selected, doing right-click and clicking "Search",
the selected text will be
entered as the search keywords to any search engine you choose.
And with our customizable Multiple Category Search
in the submenu, you can do
any kind of look-up and search with unprecedented ease. A great time saving feature!

Tips:
- To open up the search results in a new browser tab, click while holding the CTRL key.
- If your desired search engine is already the default in a particular category, then you can just click on the category name and do not have to go into the submenu.
