Invitations & Friends
Diigo is not just a great personal tool for web annotation, but is also a social
network of people and information, where you can find the best of the web
through people, not machines! A lot more "social" features are forthcoming.
Invitations
If you want to invite your friends to Diigo, send them an invitation by the
Diigo system. You can either do this by selecting "INVITE
MY FRIENDS" from the toolbar, or by using the box next to your bookmarks
in the "My Bookmarks" section:
Just put in their email-address, and click "SEND
INVITE". They will receive an email with a standard text, telling them
that you invited them to try Diigo.
If you want to write some text of your own, click on "PREVIEW
INVITE", where you will then have the option of changing the invitation
text:
Clicking on the exclamation mark (i) in
the upper right corner of the box will show a history of the invitations you
have sent out.
Friends
The people who have accepted your invitation to Diigo will show up as your "My
Friends" in the sidebar of "My Bookmarks"
section. Like the rest of the sidebars in this section, "My
Friends" is collapsible if you click the title:
