Import & Export Bookmarks
Importing Local Bookmarks
Once the Diigo toolbar is installed,
importing bookmarks you have already saved
in your browser takes just one-click!
Once you click "IMPORT", a window will appear with a list of all of the Favorites from your
local computer:

Tips:
- To set the privacy settings of imported bookmarks, first, "Initiate the privacy settings" of all imported bookmarks as either public or private. And then, privacy settings, tags, and title can be further changed individually in the import window before importing, or in batch on the website after importing.
- Folder and sub-folder names are converted to tags. For example, a bookmark under folder "TECHNOLOGY NEWS and subfolder INTERNET, will have two tags: "TECHNOLOGY NEWS" and INTERNET.
- Newly imported bookmarks will overwrite the bookmarks already in the Diigo database that have identical URLs. So if you have imported some bookmarks and made revisions to these bookmarks, either in tags or titles, you will lose those revisions if you import the same set of bookmarks again.
Import Online Bookmarks
To import your del.icio.us bookmarks, go to
IMPORT del.icio.us, and enter your del.icio.us username and password. You can choose between
importing them as public or private. You can of course change these settings later on in your "My Bookmarks" section.
To import from other web-based bookmarking services, you can first
export your bookmarks from other service into your local browser first, then
use our "Import" function.
