Calling people animals is sinful. Every human being has infinite dignity. Moreover, this is the same kind of language that led to the extermination of Jews ("vermin") in Germany and of Tutsi ("cockroaches") in Rwanda. This kind of language cannot be norma

No matter how much I disagree with or dislike a person, I don’t attack someone’s personhood. I don’t really do ad hominem either. As a historical thinker, I know dehumanization is a crucial step toward barbaric violence. This language is not harmless http -

Murderers, rapists, and animals. This is how the President views undocumented immigrants. These degrading words are also how despots around the world dehumanize those they persecute.
The only protection? A vigilant citizenry and the rule of law. https:/ -

Good jokes everyone. But this is far beyond glib jokes. This comment should have every single public official denouncing him. This alone is worth vast, city stopping protests. No jokes about an American president who calls any ethnic group animals. This i
This is a disgrace. The damage #Trump’s coarseness & bigotry have done to our culture is incalculable. He fuels hate crimes & discrimination. Policies can be changed, but it will a generation to restore civility & respect for women, immigrants,

Trump referred to some immigrants as animals. This is not ok and we should not accept it as a country. The last time a leader dehumanized a group of people, was to commit genocide. https://t.co/hU6STnFS3F

To dehumanize people so overtly is to excuse anything done to them.
We see this happen everywhere and anywhere privilege feels it must protect itself. These words are meant to excuse present and future horrors.
This must be resisted. Always.
