This is public post of Diigo over a Google Wave invite (finally), trouble is, altho I read on the Google blog that your gmail account would not be "tied" to any wave account, I find that incorrect now. Oops - had to waste an invite of 8 in order to get my "other" account to have Wave.

What if you don't want to get rid of them. Just hide some. There should be a click hide this sticky. Oh and when we move it to one side of the page it should remeber that. some IDIOTS like to put their sticky right on a link or image.
  • fatalflaw
    S M on 2009-12-03
also fyi it is possible to drag the stickies on the page, if you just want to get them out of your way without hiding all of them

Here's how to get rid of the annoying sticky notes. Go to DIIGO TOOLBAR OPTIONS --> BOOKMARK/HIGHLIGHT TAB --> HIDE ANNOTATIONS ON SELECTED PAGES --> EDIT PAGES --> ADD THIS PAGE.
  • anitsirk
    Kristina Hoeppner on 2009-11-30
@Tim and @Kelly. You should be able to hide stickies by clicking on "Hide public sticky notes" in top right-hand corner.

Surprised some Diigo subs don't recognize Diigo stickies!
I agree that it would be lovely if we could hide individual stickies. I don't want to hide all public, so here I am staring at about 14 stickies. Grr.

  • therestlessmouse
    John Everett on 2009-11-29
There seems to be a lot of confusion, people thinking the sticky notes are part of google wave. Diigo should put a little link to an explanation of them, on each note. :0)
  • therestlessmouse
    John Everett on 2009-11-29
I wouldn't actually spam.. I just meant I would start using them where appropriate! Anyway being able to delete them individually from whatever page I have been looking at would be helpful, or drag them to some folders. (If say I wanted to keep this note-thread but it's not about GoogleWave, I could make a folder called "Notes Discussion" or something.

Totally agree with the idea of hiding individual sticky notes.
  • mhwddiigo
    Tim Tunnicliff on 2009-11-21
The only logical solution is for diigo to make it possible to hide "individual" sticky notes and for our diigo accounts to remember those same individual settings. Problem solved.
  • georgeroberts
    George Roberts on 2009-11-19
Litter isn't grins and giggles. It was helpful when there were a few notes that had threads of interested and interesting commentary. Now there are 8 notes stuck all over the page and most are not useful. Keep it in your sneaker. Diigo is a great tool but Diigo spam is a waste of energy.

  • therestlessmouse

When you get to the point of having tons of waves (oceans of waves?) The SEARCHES in the navigation box will really come in handy. Everything is in a wave, like everything being in an email in gmail.

I had not seen these Diigo sticky notes on other pages. I am going to start putting them all over just for grins and giggles.

Ya, probably the most disatisfying thing of Wave today is that the Gooe Blog touted the importance of "friands and family", yet we have to "nominate" them? That doesnt sound like Google is any real hurry to get this thing moving along at a Wave pace - more like a Ripple. Hmmm, Google Ripple - would that be available in WINE ?

Terri - the stickies are Diigo, not Wave. Do you have the Diigo toolbar installed? You can turn off the public annotations by clicking the drop down arrow beside the Diigo button, selecting Hide Some Annotations, and then Hide Public Annotations on This Page.
