Crome Music Lab is a collection of musical tools for classrooms to explore experiment with to make connections between music, science, math, and art.
Crome Music Lab has a song maker tool that allows the user to make and share their own song. I think having students create an song to preform or record their original poems would be a fantastic way to make student feel like song writers. -

What is Chrome Music Lab?
Chrome Music Lab is a website that makes learning music more accessible through fun, hands-on experiments.
What can it be used for?
Many teachers have been using Chrome Music Lab as a tool in their classrooms to explore music and its connections to science, math, art, and more. They’ve been combining it with dance and live instruments. Here’s a collection of some uses we’ve found on Twitter.
Can I use it to make my own songs?
Yes. Check out the Song Maker experiment, which lets you make and share your own songs.
Do I need to make an account?
Nope. Just open any experiment and start playing.
How were these built?
All our experiments are all built with freely accessible web technology such as Web Audio API, WebMIDI, Tone.js, and more. These tools make it easier for coders to build new interactive music experiences. You can get the open-source code to lots of these experiments here on Github.
What devices do these work on?
You can play with these experiments across devices – phones, tablets, laptops – just by opening the site on a web browser such as Chrome.
What's next for Chrome Music Lab?
We always get inspired by new, unexpected ways that people use these experiments. If you’d like to share something with us, post it with #chromemusiclab or drop us a line.Chrome Music Lab Sound Notes Rhythm arpeggio Song Maker Chords Spectrogram Melody Waves Harmonics Oscillators Piano Roll Strings

I’m not sure yet exactly what I want to do with the Chrome Music Lab Spectrogram - but I do know that students can create their own visual rendering of their voice. In capturing their voice - i was considering using it in some sort of self identity design or animation. I find it to be interesting that the student’s vocal sounds will change the spectrogram and lead to different visuals, and i’m interested in seeing what it looks like in a different language. Maybe I can have students use it as a self introduction with a stress on clarity of communication for the learning outcome.

"ABOUT: Music is for everyone. So this year for Music In Our Schools month, we wanted to make learning music a bit more accessible to everyone by using technology that’s open to everyone: the web. Chrome Music Lab is a collection of experiments that let anyone, at any age, explore how music works. They're collaborations between musicians and coders, all built with the freely available Web Audio API. These experiments are just a start. Check out each experiment to find open-source code you can use to build your own."
