Nope. I dont understand this chrome mania at all.They say that Chrome OS is coming, i say big deal!, we already have somewhat of an online OS with all the ffirefox extensions. I love discovering new extensions!

Here's a couple of recommendations if you like messing with people's heads: Coprolalia - inserts random profanities into everything written on the web page (often seems like their directed toward the person reading); Override MozillaFirefox Guidance - instead of the usual error message you get various insulting (sometimes profane) messages. Trust me, what they have listed in their description is nowhere near as funny as the messages I've had pop up on my computer. It's HILARIOUS when someone doesn't know these programs are on the computer their using. ;)

I've recently added some new ones: cache status - really good for monitoring how fast the ram and disk cache are filling up and is also good for emptying it quickly and easily; movie db - you get their top 10 movies every week in your sidebar and when you click on one it takes you to the movie to watch it; videosurf videos at a glance - very cool. I've also changed my mind about Gathera (not so useful after all) and instead I now have Yoono. At first I thought it was going to be just another add-on that allows you to access multiple social sites. Instead, it kind of blew my mind. Not only can you access and chat with several social sites right from your sidebar, but you also get: similar sites, wikipedia, related video, related photos, news, blogs, product reviews, google search, and comments from various social sites. All from your sidebar while you surf the web! It's my absolute favorite extension. :)

More extremely excellent addons are: aardvark, add to searchbar, bit.ly preview, block site, browser backgrounds, cleeki, coprolalia, emoti converter, fast dial, fastest fox, febe, firefox showcase, foxytunes, headup, kyoote, link browser, mash logic, menu editor, mp3tunes load2mobile, options menu, organize statusbar, playlistar and tabloc. And if you've never heard of the terms "Super Cookie" or "Flash Cookie" it's in your (and your computer's) best interest to check out BETTER PRIVACY. :)

in addition to the ones mentioned.. I an sold on zotero, all-in-one sidebar, omnibar, wise stamp, personas, thumbstrips. (I prefer tab-mix-plus and fire gestures to the ones mentioned)
But... the best extensions are the ones that best suit your needs.

I currently have about 50 addons but the ones I would never give up would be: all in one gestures, cooliris, coolpreviews, adblock plus, custom toolbar buttons, foxtab, gathera, greasemonkey, ie tab, image fetcher, link extend, personal menu, session manager, site launcher, split browser, sxipper, ziink surfer and zoom into. I HIGHLY recommend these. If anybody knows of any other fabulous ones to recommend l'd love to hear from you. Thanx!

Firefox should copy the Google Chrome user interface immediately and Firefox is getting slower at startup. It is relief to hear that Mozilla is beginning to think speed up the startup time.

New design is very good. Needs to show compatible version range and somehow allow downloads of incompatible versions without switching the user agent or, as Jason mentioned, using IE to get Firefox add-ons.
