While I'd still prefer to see a Peter Jackson version, del Toro is a pretty good choice. There was a time when I would have been skeptical, but seeing *Pan's Labyrinth* swept away any of my doubts regarding his talent as a director.
I am a little more nervous about a sequel being done to *The Hobbit* though. Obviously the information is there in the histories of Middle Earth, but I am worried about how that film will be written.
