patrickl4A source where students can write about things they are passionate about and share it with other writers. It is a way for students to get their writing out there and get feed back from other writers on the website.

andersonm9Youth Voices is a creative idea which allows for students to share anything from their personal life to asking questions about things that intrigue them. The format of this website is really easy to use which proves beneficial to students using this tool

ml0656655Blog that brings together students and teachers beyond any particular class setting. Students read and write about their passions, connect with other students, write about each other's work, and create multimedia posts for each other. This blog allows both the teacher and student to act as equals and learn from one another.

gambrellc1Youthvoices.net is a school based social media website. This can be used in my classroom for a way for students to share and connect their ideas about anything they want school related. I could use it to post homework assignments and students can use it to share ideas and strategies on the homework with their peers.

Deborah BaillesderrYouth Voices is a vibrant home for young writers seeking an authentic audience and a space to publish writing across a wide range of genres. The site is essentially a social network, so students can easily align their interests and make meaningful connections with other young writers. Students touch on issues ranging from the environment and politics to personal narrative stories and video gaming. Some students also add multimedia components like video.

clackieThis blog equals out the playing ground for students and teachers, and provides a platform for discussions on almost everything between students and teachers alike. The site has videos, podcasts, and blogs so students can find their voice, and an engaging conversation can take place in a safe environment for everyone. These various conversations that students and teachers can take place in is amazing, and can contribute to my future practice, because it helps teach children about digital citizenship, responsibility, and appropriateness online.

sarahgrubbThis is a social network that was started by English teachers to better young minds at writing. With this site children can be creative and let their minds run free by creating their own stories and connecting with other learners. I do believe that this site would in fact help many children become better writers and readers. Not only is this site helpful with developing better writing skills, but it is a confidence builder.

Emily WoodallWe are a site for conversations. We invite youth of all ages to voice their thoughts about their passions, to explain things they understand well, to wonder about things they have just begun to understand, and to share discussion posts with other young people using as many different genres and media as they can imagine!
