zuma jontyThis module begins by showing how the world is full of parabolas—at a baseball game, supporting a suspension bridge, at a water fountain. The module defines a parabola as a conic section, and allows students to create different parabolas that all share the same geometric properties. The general form of a quadratic function y = ax2 +bx + c is also presented, followed by an interactive activity where students can change a, b, and c to see how these changes affect the graph.
