Elliot FanI don't know what to say really.\nThree minutes\nto the biggest battle of our professional lives\nall comes down to today.\nEither\nwe heal\nas a team\nor we are going to crumble.\nInch by inch\nplay by play\ntill we're finished.\nWe are in hell right now, gentlemen\nbelieve me\nand\nwe can stay here\nand get the shit kicked out of us\nor\nwe can fight our way\nback into the light.\nWe can climb out of hell.\nOne inch, at a time.\n\nNow I can't do it for you.\nI'm too old.\nI look around and I see these young faces\nand I think\nI mean\nI made every wrong choice a middle age man could make.\nI uh....\nI pissed away all my money\nbelieve it or not.\nI chased off\nanyone who has ever loved me.\nAnd lately,\nI can't even stand the face I see in the mirror.\n\nYou know when you get old in life\nthings get taken from you.\nThat's, that's part of life.\nBut,\nyou only learn that when you start losing stuff.\nYou find out that life is just a game of inches.\nSo is football.\nBecause in either game\nlife or football\nthe margin for error is so small.\nI mean\none half step too late or to early\nyou don't quite make it.\nOne half second too slow or too fast\nand you don't quite catch it.\nThe inches we need are everywhere around us.\nThey are in ever break of the game\nevery minute, every second.\n\nOn this team, we fight for that inch\nOn this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us\nto pieces for that inch.\nWe CLAW with our finger nails for that inch.\nCause we know\nwhen we add up all those inches\nthat's going to make the fucking difference\nbetween WINNING and LOSING\nbetween LIVING and DYING.\n\nI'll tell you this\nin any fight\nit is the guy who is willing to die\nwho is going to win that inch.\nAnd I know\nif I am going to have any life anymore\nit is because, I am still willing to fight, and die for that inch\nbecause that is what LIVING is.\nThe six inches in front of your face.\n\nNow I can't make you do it.\nYou gotta look at the guy next to you.\nLook into his eyes.\nNow I think you are going to see
