This is an interesting website. In class and in the book I was having a hard time understanding "Genderlects". This website pointed out certain things about the way that boys and girls play together. For example, when boys play they play in larger groups and everyone has a specific role. Because of this specific role there is little talking because everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. This is in direct contrast to girls who generally play in smaller groups and dont make solid rules at the beginning of the game or play time. For this reason the girls in play commucate more during the game. This isn't easy to observe when you are little, but now as I grown up and started to take care of younger children I've definetly noticed these things to be generally true. Explore this site, it's exciting and allows you to take a step back and learn about people. I think if you begin to understand and watch for these things you can learn how to communicate in a more constructive way with the people around you.
This site is very useful in understanding your boyfirend/girlfriend, boys and girls, corporate partners, and friends. It puts things in perspective when you read the differences in these genderlects. It really defines everyone in your world around you after reading this article. I esspecially like the romance part. It is very useful information for any relationship.
