Stephanie HortonThis website is a great resource for parents. It has a list of questions that I think most parents are asking themselves, and on this website they get the answers! They also have a PDF Booklet about how to keep children safe. Furthermore, there is a story called 'Goldilocks and the Cyberparents' that is designed to help groups deal with Cyberbullying.

Kimberly ThomasWired Safety is a place for parents, educators, law enforcement and students to all visit. In the parents section, answers are given to questions that many parents have. There is also a booklet that can be downloaded about parenting online. Maneuvering away from the parent tab, educators will find flash lessons on technology literacy while still learning about Internet safety. Finally the student section you will find age appropriate information. There is also a link to WiredKids.org. This website could be incorporated at home but also in school when deemed appropriate and necessary.

Jessica WolfeThis is a great website. I could use this for myself, parents, and my students. I really liked this website because it had a ton of useful information. There was a huge list of common questions. Some parents may have certain questions that they are too afraid to ask and this site has information on various topics that you can research. It ranges from cellphones, cyberbullying, communicating with a predator, interactive game devices, search engines, etc. There are also law enforcement articles to get the facts on what the consequences are of certain crimes and a "Hot Topics" section about what is currently popular such as: blogs, scams, and cyber dating. This website is a great tool that I plan to share with my colleagues and know my parents will appreciate to read.

Parents need to understand that the greatest risk our children face online is being denied access. The Internet is essential to our children's education, future careers and lives. But even the most experienced Internet user doesn't understand how children use the Internet and how to help them have a safer and more enjoyable surfing experience.
