    Yeah, nevermind that Malcolm Forbes character or George W. Bush's impressive dismissal of the public financing system during the primaries ... it's somehow HILLARY'S fault!!! I guess 10-year old stories don't sell as many papers unless you somehow invent the antagonist in the form of a convenient modern-day news icon.

    Particularly egregious reporting ...
    Little noticed amid the announcement rollout was a page on her Web site in which she asked potential contributors to give her campaign checks of up to $4,200. That figure signaled not only that she plans to forgo public funds for primary season but also that, if she becomes the nominee, she will not take public money for the general election.


    "Little noticed," I suppose, doesn't necessarily preclude something mentioned in the second paragraph of a Page One story in a national newspaper.
