在美国国务院公布2007年年度人权报告之后，媒体报道普遍指出，2005年和2006年连续两次被列入“侵犯人权前10名国家”的中国，在今年却没有被列入这一不光彩的名单。媒体报道还说，国务院的这种评估引起了一些人权团体的批评。
