Robin WakeTRAILS (Tool for Real-time Assessment of
Information Literacy Skills) is an online tool for measuring your students’
understanding of information literacy. Last year TRAILS registered over
1,600 new users, and 184,000 students took the assessments.
TRAILS offers standards-based assessments at the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th
grade levels. It continues to be available to school librarians and
teachers at no charge. The assessments this past year featured a number of
new items developed with input from users. The site provides users access
to benchmarks. -
