- 　　2010年前后，伴随着北疆电厂20万吨/日、大港新泉10万吨/日、塘沽临港工业区10万吨/日等一批海水淡化及综合利用重大项目的建成投产，以滨海新区为主体的我市淡化海水产量将达到50万吨/日，约占全国每天淡化海水产量的一半以上。滨海新区将成为全国海水淡化领域的“巨无霸”，为实现可持续发展打下坚实基础。
