Enterprise 2.0 is at a very challenging stage of development. It's no longer a fad. It's not going away. But it's not a fundamental part of mainstream businesses, yet.

For me at least, having a wiki, forum, blogs, etc. on the intranet and using a wiki, forum, blog effectively to improve the transparency and productivity of collaboration are very different indicators of progress.

Other indicators of maturity in the Enterprise 2.0 market is the focus on the workplace dynamics, not the tools themselves.

5 levels of conversation that need to be addressed when thinking about information in the workplace:
    - Enterprise-wide transparency
    - Departmental-wide unity
    - Team-wide coordination
    - Project-wide activity
    - Individual productivity enhancement tools
