Announcement by the Schwenkfelder Library and History Center in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania that the 2020 Penn Dry Goods Market, Antique Show/Sale, and Textile History Lectures, scheduled for May 15 and 16, has been cancelled due to the coronavirus. The Penn Dry Goods annual event is a fund raiser for the Schwenkfelder Library and History Center and has developed a reputation for attracting dozens of dealers focusing on antique and vintage textiles as well as dedicated needlework and textile scholars as speakers and workshop leaders. The good news is that all of the speakers scheduled for 2020 have agreed to be on the program for 2021, barring any scheduling conflicts. Of special interest to sampler enthusiasts, will be the presentations by Marty Campanelli on samplers from Burlington, New Jersey; Claudia Kistler on Bristol Orphanage samplers; and Lynne Anderson on Philadelphia presentation samplers.
