Rubyx is a Gnu/Linux based operating system, built and maintained by rubyx, a simple script written in the ruby language. The rubyx script is small, but very capable. It can download and build the entire os from source to your exact specifications, handles all subsequent package management and can even create a bootable iso image. All packages are built and installed by a non-root user into separate directories under /pkg/, while maintaining effective compatibility with the File Hierarchy Standard. Rubyx is tidy, and accessible. Rubyx is not for beginners, but it is designed to be simple and reliable. If you have a grasp of partitioning and formatting disks and some understanding of boot loaders, you can install rubyx.
