Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda. Terrorists are not 100-feet tall. Nor do they deserve the abject fear they seek to instill. They will, however, be dismantled and destroyed, by our military, our intelligence services and our law enforcement community. And the notion that America’s counterterrorism professionals and America’s system of justice are unable to handle these murderous miscreants is absurd.

Therein lies much of the concern. There is real angst that some people are agitating for a third party because of what they see as an unrepentant GOP. And the fear is that Glenn Beck is feeding this. I hope he is not. I would have to part ways if that were the case. History shows that neither the most popular third party candidate, Teddy Roosevelt, nor the richest, Ross Perot, were ever able to get elected. All they did was get the Democrat elected.
And for those of you who think that is no big deal, let me ask you again: how many Americans are going to die because of Barack Obama’s handling of our national security? If you think the GOP would be as bad on this issue, you need a reality check.

We do not have the right to health care, housing, or hand outs.”
“I wanna hang myself every time I hear a politician say ‘I got a letter from a little girl the other day.’ Shut up!”

ell now ask yourself this: why would Bob Bennett, Lamar Alexander, Mike Crapo, Lindsey Graham, and Judd Gregg be co-sponsors of S.391, the Wyden-Bennett health care plan.
-
The legislation, named for its chief sponsors Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Bob Bennett (R-UT), imposes an individual mandate on American citizens. Section 102 of the legislation is entitled “Individual Responsibility to Enroll in a Healthy Americans Private Insurance Plan.” The section outlines how the feds will punish you if you refuse to buy an insurance plan.
-
In fact, that is precisely what Bennett, Alexander, Crapo, Graham, and Gregg today claimed was unconstitutional.
Don’t be fooled by these Senators. Today they got to take a very safe vote and look good for the kids back home when in reality, were they in charge, they’d be doing the same thing. This is not leadership. This is a con.

Lamar Alexander is helping too. You remember Lamar! right? He’s the Senate Republican leader who lectured the GOP on offering up “differentiating legislation”, i.e. legislation that would highlight Democrat vulnerabilities, and instead insisted the GOP offer up “common ground legislation” so they could show the public the GOP is willing to work with the Democrats.

I’d like to first note that it says something that McConnell had to run out and try to get his side of the story out so quickly. He must realize how much damage was done to him yesterday. Finally, finally people are starting to realize just how bad a leader he has been on a host of issues lately.

Griffith, a former Radiation Oncologist, also offered a damning description of the House Version of Obamacare.
“I want to make it perfectly clear that this bill is bad for our doctors,” he said. “It’s bad for our patients. It’s bad for the young men and women who are considering going into the health care field.”

newcomers to the blogosphere often wonder why anyone ever reads Andrew Sullivan. Since Obama came along, after all, Sullivan has been nothing but nothing more than just another no-talent Obama sycophant who is inordinately obsessed with convincing himself that the Catholic Church does not really mean what it teaches on homosexuality. In other words, no one that anyone would want to read.
