PODEMOS PARTICIPAR EN LA MAYOR REVOLUCIÓN DEL CONOCIMIENTO DE LA HISTORIA DE LA HUMANIDAD. ¿Formarás parte de esa mejora? ¿Solo la recibirás? ¿Te excluirán?
Personas de ciencia de todo el mundo han lanzado una revolución que pretende lograr que todo conocimiento creado por la investigación científica esté en 10 días al alcance de toda la población mundial. Podremos ir a la consulta médica habiendo repasado antes los últimos descubrimientos sobre nuestro problema de salud y asistiremos a una reunión de familiares sabiendo previamente si las actuaciones que llevan en esa escuela son las avaladas por la comunidad científica internacional o las ocurrencias de alguien.
Todo lo tendremos en abierto y gratuito. Desde este mismo año 2014 la Comisión Europea prohíbe no publicar en esas condiciones cualquier conocimiento sobre los retos sociales que se haya investigado con sus recursos. Organizaciones como PLOS (http://www.plos.org/) o como ORCID (http://orcid.org/) están dando pasos decisivos en ese proceso. Hay organizaciones sociales que están facilitando que la ciudadanía participe ya en esa transformación: http://www.fapac.cat/xarxaclau/xarxa-clau
Nunca las personas que nos precedieron tuvieron la oportunidad de participar activamente o vivir pasivamente una revolución de la relación entre el conocimiento y la ciudadanía tan profunda, transparente, democrática e igualitaria. Quienes han ocupado estatus de “expertos” e “intelectuales” basados en ocurrencias se oponen agresivamente a esa transformación y la atacan con estereotipos cuya falsedad puede fácilmente demostrarse gracias a los conocimientos y la transparencia aportada por esa misma revolución.
