Steve BrownThis site is an interactive experience for students dealing with rhythm. Several music educators often refer to the "pie" model when teaching the durations of various note types (i.e., quarter note is 1/4 of a pie, etc.)
If teaching math across the curriculum is a push in your district, this site is a great resource. It takes students through the theory behind rhythm and then allows them to create basic four beat patterns which will be played for them in the end. -
