"The main Christian spokespersons in the world are not saying much. The silence is deafening," Ham observes. "I think they're trying to play it safe; they want to see what happens," he says. "There's a couple of great men who would stand up to say something publicly if they were able to, like Dr. D. James Kennedy -- he's very ill -- and Dr. Jerry Falwell, who went to be with the Lord."
Nevertheless, "a lot of the mainstream Christian groups are very quiet," Ham notes. "That is sad, but the Christian media are here, the radio stations and television and so on, so the message will get out there," he says. More than 3,000 people toured the museum when it opened Monday.
