now an opportunity for ivy league graduates to pad their resume' while padding their wallet and schools to hire teachers who are not trained in the field. The grads plan to teach their two year stints, while most will go on to law school or some other graduate training outside teaching.
I don't remember that this was the original focus, but maybe my view of history is skewed.
