Kopi Luwak is the world's most high-ticket coffee. It is often called coffee alamid or civet coffees. It is made from droppings of civet cats. These cats select and eat ripe coffees. It's believed that digestive juices degrade beans' proteins to amino acids that contribute to its unique flavor during roasting. The coffee is also less bitter given it begins to germinate inside civet stomach.
Its hard to assemble civet droppings in a wide coffee farms. Some farmers engaged within raising civet cats to provide more coffee alamid. Civet cats are fed with ripe coffee beans. Droppings are collected, washed and dried.
If you intend to engaged in civet coffee production. You probably want to roast your own java. It cannot be roasting in commercial roasting machine because such equipment provides high volume capacity. Your precious coffee will get burnt in no time. Getting a two kilogram capacity drum roaster is a great idea but it may be too expensive. On additional hand, there are inexpensive alternatives.
