Windows only: UltraMon adds tons of useful functionality and tweaks to your multi-monitor desktop.
Of UltraMon's slew of features, the one that stands out most for multi-monitor users is probably the smart taskbar, which extends the taskbar to your multiple monitors so that a window only shows up on the taskbar it's active on. UltraMon also features hotkeys for moving windows between desktops, unified wallpapers, and lots of other really useful functionality. UltraMon offers a free 30-day trial, after which point I'm not sure what happens (the web site isn't clear). A license will set you back a hefty $39, though, so hopefully the non-registered version still provides some of the useful functionality.
