jason choateA nice checklist when dealing with the delivery of a presentation. Without regurgitating the 18 tips offered when presenting a presentation, I will pick out 5 of “my top tips” that I could use with delivery.
Highlights of the Article:
10-20-30 Rule
It is recommended to keep your presentation to ten slides or less. Do not make a presentation longer than 20 minutes. Do not make the presentation in less than 30 font.
Eye Contact
Make eye contact with your audience and do not read the presentation.
Breath In Not Out
Do not use “Um” or “Auh” in a presentation. Instead, take a break and breath in to regroup and decide what your next move will be.
Come Early, Really Early
Do not stress or struggle with setting up the presentation at the last minute. There is nothing wrong with being early so that you can focus on the presentation of the material and not the struggling of setting up or running into glitches that may postpone your presentation.
Have Fun
Make sure to practice the presentation. Give it in front of your friends, family, or a mirror. Think about your passion on the topic and how to incorporate enthusiasm in given situations. -
