Mark FrisseThank you for wanting to learn more about the LII. We are a small research, engineering, and editorial group housed at the Cornell Law School in Ithaca, NY. Our collaborators include publishers, legal scholars, computer scientists, government agencies, and other groups and individuals that promote open access to law, worldwide.
Here you can learn about all the things we do to ensure that the law remains free and open to everyone, which includes supporting global expansion of the free access to law movement, serving government, empowering citizens, and developing web science for the law.
Founded in 1992, we currently serve over 18 million unique visitors each year. -

Blakely LordThis might seem like a strange site to choose, but it is an incredibly comprehensive and reliable source of statutes, legal opinions, and information about the laws of our country. It's the kind of site that would come in very handy in a high school classroom. I could see it being used when teaching "To Kill a Mockingbird" or as part of a civics class, for instance.
