Jenna HargadineKidsClick! was created by a group of librarians at the Ramapo Catskill Library System, as a logical step in addressing concerns about the role of public libraries in guiding their young users to valuable and age appropriate web sites.

Skye LiikanenThis website is a great seach engine that teachers can get their students to use in the classroom. There are a number of subject areas that include the curriculum which are then broken into subheadings, children click one of these and there is a list of suitable websites that students can use for their research. This search engine is a good way to ensure students stay safe and on track with their research. Star Rating 4/5

Ed CasterKidsClick is a search engine for students in grades 4-8. The site has a databse of more than 5,000 sites that are school appropriate. There are more than six hundred subjects for students to select for their search. I started searching in Science and Math, from there I tried Math, and searched Pi Day (March 14th, you know, 3.14) The search took me to Exploratorium's 21st Annual Pi Day Celebration,. which included a history of Pi, Pi Day activities and Pi links. A search engine with limited but excellent sources makes better searching for kids.
