I chose this website as a resource because it was very interactive. The website may look a little outdated, but there were interactive videos, games, and very detailed information. The website was thorough in the description of what the solar system is and had detailed information about each planet in the solar system. The website was updated in 2017 so the information is current and up to date. The information is not biased to a particular group or person, but has information that relates to the topic. The website has a variety of activities to keep students involved and helps them understand the topic better. The students will enjoy the videos and other topics of outer space the website has to offer as well. The website has very few advertisements. This website would be a good tool to help introduce the solar system to students.

1. Summary: This website presents information about the planets and other parts of the solar system.
2. How could it be used in the classroom? This could be used in the classroom for individual learning about the solar system.
3. Correlation with ALCOS standards: In accordance with the Alabama Course of Study for fourth grade science SC Gr4 #10, students are required to be able to describe components of our solar system. With this website, the students can identify and learn all the objects in the solar system.
4. How it met selection criteria? This website meets selection criteria because, I think the student will enjoy it because it has videos, and songs, and fun facts which means they'll pay attention. Also, it's very easy for the students to navigate. All they have to do is click on the planet or item in the solar system they want to learn more about. And, all the information is in accordance with the ALCOS objectives.
5. Why was this chosen over other items? I chose this website because it goes into detail about each planet and item that's in our solar system. Also, it shows little videos and has songs that correlates to each topic. And, it gives fun facts about each item in the solar system.

This is a fun website for young kids! On the website there is a big flash screen that shows the planets circling around the sun. Under it there are explanations about solar system and related information.
