It is essential for teachers to become well-versed with the following standards: (1) Facilitate and inspire student learning and creativity; (2) Design and develop digital-age learning experiences and assessments; (3) Model digital-age work and learning; (4) Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility; and, (5) Engage in professional growth and leadership. All in all, teachers must aim to fulfill a majority of these technology standards and performance indicators in order to effectively prepare students to be competent, global citizens in the digital era.
