Brooklyn, NY--On the heels of wrapping a 16-date solo tour of the UK and Europe, Grayson Capps will on October 23 release a limited edition acoustic album entitled Songbones via HYENA records. Word of this recording has been circulating among Capps' fans for years. Its genesis stretches back to 2002--three years before he'd release his debut album If You Knew My Mind. The stripped-down session features Capps on vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica and his longtime friend Tom Marron on fiddle. It was recorded at New Orleans' 9th Street Pickin Parlor, a favorite studio for local Crescent City musicians before being shuttered in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
