Lady LuIt was one of the iconic pictures of Hurricane Ike: a lone house still standing in Gilchrist on the Bolivar Peninsula. It was used by media outlets around the world. And wherever it showed up, people asked the same thing: How the heck did that house survive? With the use of some archival photos, it turns out no one shouldve been surprised.
