Google Sidewiki

is good
Great way to have students engage with any web content. Will work in Flock and Firefox. Very interesting, it turns every webpage into a wiki. A great study tool especially for secondary students.
Sidewiki appears to be like a diigo sticky note.

Why not using both systems DiiGo and SideWiki and find synergies how the two can support each other?
Most import next step is, how both systems (and other social networks) can have true AutoLinks and
AutoTags.

compared with diigo annotation
Similar to Diigo concept without the group....you can now insert comments on any webpages as well as view other's comments

now what?

Assuming spammers and SEOs don't quickly ruin this, it could have useful purposes, even in info lit, such as pointing out bias on sites and gaps in the information presented, thoughtful evaluations, etc. An added tool thgat students could consult when evaluating web sites.
Sorry to say that, but Diigo is doing this for a long time now. Of course it's not "mainstream" i'm affraid and i believe it will be a hard competition for them...
If you want to have a list of your sidewiki contribution, take a look at your Google profile
