“中国有两亿农民工的流动人口，却没有真正的贫民窟，这是一个难以置信的奇迹，其原因就在于每个人在家乡都有一块土地，他们随时可以回去。”中国人民大学(People's University)农业与农村发展学院院长温铁军表示。“正是由于现行的土地国有制，中国才享有了30年的快速经济增长，基本上没有流离失所的贫困农民，而没有像其他多数大型发展中国家一样。”
