  This site features free photos available for easy download. They can be used for personal or commercial purposes under the limitations of the license. Photos are sorted by category and you can also search by keyword. Some of the categories include nature, architecture, travel and technology. You need to credit freepixels.com when you use the photos. The site has a lot of advertisements for Shutterstock so it can get confusing to navigate this website and not click a link that takes you away from freepixels.com. The quality of photos is good. Some of the photos look amateur but I still think they could be useful especially with photo editing software.There are a lot of close up images of items and different scenic photos. The way you download photos is only available in one file format option. Some photos download about 2 KB but you can change the file size on your computer.

  The site has a variety of free photos to download in high resolution. The site categorizing the photos into 40 categories nearly 6,000 total images. The categories range from architecture, nature and travel to computer technology and medical related items. I read through the licensing terms and conditions page and still could not find any information on where the images actually come from. As far as I can tell freepixels.com sources the images from somewhere and doesn’t feel the need to share where that is. Finding the images you are interested in appears to be pretty basic, there are really just a handful of categories listed with images in each category and that is all. I did find some search capability, but the search ended up taking me to another site! The quality of the sites images are superb and I don’t believe they could be of any higher quality.

This site site says that it allows you to use the images for personal and commercial purposes; however if you read the fine print under Terms of Us they are very specific about what you can and cannot do with the downloads and how or when Free Pixel must be created for what you use-so it pays to read the fine print with this site!!!
  
  This site features 40 categories with over 5k images in stock and more being added regularly. The main topics/categories are and there are sub categories under them:

  Architecture
  Nature
  Objects
  Food and Drink
  Travel
  People
  
  I was not able to located the contribution information for this site. I looked everywhere and did not find anything!
  
  This site does not have a huge selections compared to other sites although most of the photos are decent. Frequently, this site encourages you to visit shutterstock.com and shows images that match your search criteria before showing their own images-weird!
  
  All of the images are free, however they are also all 72dpi-even the "full-sized" photos. The one I chose to download is 16.667x12 and 72 screen res! So this site would not be ideal for print projects requiring larger images, also while some of the photos are decent to good, a lot of them are not that great so use caution when using this resource!
