Ashley EckhartI just thought this website was fun for learning all kinds of interesting information. There are so many people online all the time, why not use each other for help with any type of question. It was interesting to read the things that people were talking about and a great way to learn information. I think is also a great tool for using to quickly find information on any information you might be wondering about or may want to start a discussion about.

Amber GHere is where the name came from : A fluther is a group of jellyfish, like a gaggle of geese (or a taint of tilapia).
“Fluther” is pronounced /'flʌ ðɚ/. It rhymes with “brother” and “mother”. You simply ask fluther a question and they direct you to people who can answer it. I think this would be such an amazing tool for the classroom. If the students didn't know something, they could fluther and ask people for advice and help and also learn in the process. It's a great tool! -

Jacob HoffmanThis is a really cool site that focuses on asking questions and having them answered by experts in the field. This is so useful because the information you get is about as close to correct as a person can get. The site directs you to another site where the question you have will be answered, much like ask jeeves, etc. In this site, though, you actually know that the question you have is being answered by an expert in the field.
As far as classroom uses go, the possibilities are endless... If there happens to be a question a student raises that the teacher may not know they both can hop on this site and find the answer from an expert. This is also a great resource for students that may not be able to contact a teacher while they are at home.
