zflemingislelaptopfix40You may have taken your time to buy an iPhone, wondering what the big deal was. When you finally get your own iPhone, you start to realize what all the talk is about. The iPhone is without a doubt the most exciting phone to emerge in many years. Keep reading for some wonderful things you can do with your new phone.
It is the world of phone applications, and pretty soon phones are going to replace laptops. If you haven't already gotten into iPhones and using applications, you need to get started now. There is a world of different applications out there that can handle much of your daily business.
Use the headphone cord to help you take pictures. It can be difficult to take a picture that is in focus if you are pushing a button that is on the actual phone. Instead, push the cord's button; the slight movement will not affect your iPhone at all, allowing you to take a crisp, clear photograph.
You can use your iphone to store all sorts of files. The only way to do this, however, is to purchase the iphone drive app, but once you do you can store almost anything on your phone. This enables your phone to function almost completely as a mini portable computer.
When in your iPhone mail, it is simple to save a copy of a picture that you might want to view later. Just touch the image for a few seconds and it will be saved to your stored pictures. You can then access it at any time if you want to view it again, post it on the web or forward it to a friend.
Capture those fleeting on-screen moments by using the screenshot function. To take a screenshot with your iPhone, simply hold down the "Home" button while simultaneously depressing the "Sleep" button one time. You should see a flash of white on the screen, and the image should be archived in your camera roll right away.
If you have locked yourself out of your phone, you should look online for ways to fix it. Many people have had this happen to them as well, so there are videos and other tutorials on how to unlock an iphone online. Just be aware that this is a last resort, as it will likely delete all of your information when you reset it.
To make your favorite website a little faster and a whole lot easier, set it as your homepage. Although you can't do this as smoothly as you can in Safari on the Mac, you can access your preferred page easily with just one extra tap. Add the page to your bookmark's list, and then make sure it is at the top of the list. That way, you are only a couple of taps away from your favorite page.
The iPhone will show you a preview of any incoming messages right on the main lock screen. You may enjoy this feature, or you may find it annoying. If this annoys you, you should know that you can turn this feature off. To disable this feature, open the message notifications under the Settings menu. The option to select is Show Preview; you can then turn off this feature.
Take photos with your iPhone headphone cord. The volume buttons, both up and down can now be used on many iPhones to snap photos. This way, you can steady your hand and press the cord button to snap the photo. Doing it this way means you do not shake the camera and frame for a crisper picture.
If you have an iPhone that uses Siri, but are concerned with privacy, you may want to avoid communicating with her too much. Apple records virtually all voice prompts to Siri and stores them on an internal server. They do this to help the programs' speech recognition, and to try to keep these files secure, but everything you say to Siri might get recorded.
A good tip if you're new to using the iphone is to learn about the built in video recorder. A lot of people don't even know that their iphone is capable of recording videos, which is pretty sad. A lot of users submitted videos on youtube are straight from someone's iphone.
Chefs and epicureans alike will find no end of benefits to using an iPhone due to the incredible array of available tools catering to foodies of every description. By researching and downloading applications devoted to recipe sharing, restaurant reviews and ingredient sourcing, it is possible for the iPhone to streamline the life of anyone who loves the art of fine cuisine.
If you find that Siri's voice is a bit annoying to you, you do have choices. Find Siri in the General Settings area. You can choose your language of choice. You can even change her voice, if you wish, to reflect a British or Australian accent. When using the British version of Siri, you will notice that the voice is male.
If your iphone gets wet, it may not be ruined. Gently towel dry the device. Do not turn it on or use heat or wind to dry it out. Instead, place it in a baggie with some white rice, and leave it for several hours. The rice will absorb any moisture that is inside your iphone.
These are just a few of the wonderful things you can do with your phone. Developers are trying new things every day, so you will have even more to do in the days to come. Use the tips you've just read to really get the most from your new iPhone, and you will look like an old pro. -
