      I agree. I think they are a short sited- budget based decision. We get a full screen and full keyboard if we keep our obsolete laptops longer... HOLD on I know why they are obsolete. They can't handle a full district image. What if they are stripped down to internet and word? They become a netbook... and we already paid for them. And if they take too much to upkeep from the tech support, then they truly get retired to the landfill.

  I do agree about the screen size and keyboard (although for little elementary fingers they are fine) They do provide a route for those of us back in the states with smaller budgets to get going with putting computers into students hands. And as for being stripped down, well, that's what cloud computing is all about, right?!
