Voting
At the start of EduBloggerCon (the actual day) we'll take a vote on all sessions and determine which sessions to put in the formal schedule. Because of the number of sessions and the length of their descriptions, you may want to read them over a day or two in advance! You can currently use the voting system which will provide us with a bit of a straw poll, but be aware that we will clear those results the morning of EduBloggerCon and have some live voting. The sessions will be scheduled into the day based on popularity, with the most popular ones being used to fill the first track, then the next most popular for the second track, and maybe even creating a third track (with the current number of participants, we may want three tracks to keep the groups a reasonable size).
You can vote either by texting your votes or by clicking through to the PollEverywhere.com site (I'll be adding the direct link soon). You can vote for as many different sessions as you like, but please do not vote more than once for a particular session (this is not American Idol!) To vote by cell phone / text message, send a text message to the number 41411 that looks like this: cast 1234 (using the actual number given). -

Chris DukeThis is a list of possible sessions that you can add to, either because you'd like a session on the topic, or because you feel comfortable facilitating such a discussion. The sessions are intended to be group dialogs on a topic, and not formal presentations. You can add yourself as a potential facilitator to any topic. You can also just voice your support for a session.

Many educators and students by now have discovered the wonders of Google Earth. In this session, we will move beyond Google Earth and Map basics and focus more on content sharing and creation. Participants will exchange ideas for locating Google Earth files created by others, and will also learn how to create and share Google Earth files themselves. This group will brainstorm a list of educational activities that could be enhanced by Google Earth and Maps, and will develop some collaborative project ideas for carrying out post-NECC.

At the start of EduBloggerCon "West" (the actual day) we'll take a vote on all sessions and determine which sessions to put in the formal schedule. (You can vote as many times as you like!) If there is a session that you are interested in but doesn't get included in the formal schedule, you are encouraged to seek the volunteer facilitator out during the ample "break and breakout" times. You can even schedule your own meeting at any time during the day if you have folks who want to do that--remember, this is an "unconference!" -
