While the economy is crumbling, the Palestinians are actually receiving more aid than ever before. To compensate for the hardships caused by Israel's revenue freeze and their own boycott, foreign donors pumped in an estimated $1.2 billion in 2006, something over 10% up from 2005, most of it in humanitarian relief directly to individuals.
