This is a fantastic web site. It has so much information but the search feature makes it easy to find lessons and activities. It even has a feature where you can save lessons and create a link. You can then post the link for your students, who in turn go to the link and complete the assignment.

The streaming video is excellent - very fast to load, so showing a clip can be spontaneous. Can also choose to show only segmented portions of videos - and download them so you always have access to them.

Based on the website evaluation tool, aDesigner, this site needs to make improvements in accessibility for blind and low vision viewers. The font is too small and some of the colors do not have enough contrast. I would give this site a 1 out of 6 for accessibility.

Though the information in this site seems current, there are no dates of when items in the page were published or updated. I would give it a 1 out of 6 for currency.

The site is controlled by Discovery Education, but does not give an author for each page. For instance, in the H1N1 page link above, advice is given but no author is stated. However, the about us and contact us links are on every page at the bottom. I would give them a 5 out of 6 for this area.

This site layout and design is mostly consistent with color schemes and organization. For example, the same hyperlink menu at the top is the same on every page. However, because it offers so many resources, it is not always easy to find needed information with the layout. I would give this site a 3 out of 6 for layout and design.

The site is easy to navigate to each section. However, it can be confusing because many of the links lead to outside websites and you can really get lost in the content you may stumble upon. I would give this site a 3 out of 6 for navigation.

There are many categories of information that are divided and organized into sections with blue headings. This is very useful in locating the area of information needed.
