The Department of Health has asked NICE to co-ordinate the consultation on the remits for the proposed technology appraisals and the Institute will be seeking comments from the health/pharmaceutical industry, professional organisations and patient groups. NICE will, at the same time, consult on the draft scopes for the proposed appraisals. This process is in line with the published process for the development of technology appraisals, which can be found on the NICE website.
