The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has called a meeting with operators on May 28 to discuss the allocation and pricing of 3G spectrum bands for launching new generation mobile phone services.

Therefore, when the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) issued recommendation for 3G spectrum allocation and pricing in 2006, it had decided that allocations of spectrum in these bands will be decided as and when these were made available. |
