Della GordonAt the Buck Institute for Education (BIE), our highest priority is to help teachers prepare students for successful lives. We do this by showing teachers how to use Project Based Learning in all grade levels and subject areas. As a mission-driven nonprofit organization, BIE creates, gathers, and shares high-quality PBL instructional practices and products and provides highly effective services to teachers, schools, and districts.
For teachers, BIE offers professional development on how to design, assess, and manage projects that engage and motivate students. For schools, BIE helps bring coherence to PBL practices across grade levels and subject areas, and supports the creation of school-wide processes and structures to support PBL. For districts, BIE offers unrivaled service and expertise in creating and sustaining district-wide PBL initiatives. The exponential increase in demand for its services and products speak to BIE’s ability to help educators around the world provide a better education for all students. -

dhabeckerThe Buck Institute for Education is a valuable resource that prepares both teachers and students to use Project-Based Learning in the classroom. The website is organized to support high-quality PBL instructional practices and products to individuals. Some of the resources provided by BIE include blogs, books, articles, rubrics, planning forms, student handouts, research, curriculum, and videos related to PBL. In addition to these resources, the website also provides opportunities for students and teachers to interact through live webinars, live Google hangouts and twitter chats, as well as, online classes, and conferences.

Susan Saunders"Project Based Learning’s time has come. The experience of thousands of teachers across all grade levels and subject areas, backed by research, confirms that PBL is an effective and enjoyable way to learn - and develop deeper learning competencies required for success in college, career, and civic life. Why are so many educators across the United States and around the world interested in this teaching method? The answer is a combination of timeless reasons and recent developments."
